Thuraya users can roam in any of Thuraya’s operational GSM Roaming Partners network using Thuraya SIM card in any compatible GSM phone.

Roaming in Thuraya means:

You can use your GSM SIM Card with the same GSM number in Thuraya phone, and enjoy roaming in Thuraya satellite network coverage.
Thuraya subscribers (with Thuraya SIM cards) can access other GSM networks in and out of Thuraya coverage area, in Thuraya or any GSM 800/1900 Handset.
You are contactable on one number and your airtime cost per minute is less than US$ 2 especially while making international calls.
Calling any Thuraya number while roaming in Thuraya network, will cost only US$ 0.75/min
All incoming calls on Thuraya satellite mode are free of charge
