Customer Guide For Upgrading QuickLink Mobile


Steps to download the software…

The customer will go to his existing application & click on check for updates as shown in fig 1

Click on QuickLink Mobile upgrade for Thuraya

You can choose the option of either Open or Save.

If you choose the Save option: A zip file will be downloaded to your PC as shown below in Fig 4

If you choose the option of Open: You will see an icon as in Fig 5.

Click Yes.

Unzipping will give you the update patch with the icon as shown in Fig 7

Ensure that you have connected the Thuraya mobile phone to Com 1 using the datacable and follow the instructions on the screen.

Click ‘Next’ .

Now remove the Thuraya phone driver from the modem panel. After this install the updated Thuraya mobile phone driver. Follow the steps below.

Go to My Computer, Control Panel, Phone & Modem options.

Highlight THURAYA mobile Phone & click Remove.

Click ‘Yes’.

Click ‘OK’. Return to the QLMobile application you downloaded & reinstall the Thuraya mobile phone driver. The procedure ensures that the earlier Thuraya mobile phone driver was removed & now you can install the new Thuraya mobile phone driver.
