No other substitute that works as well as Thuraya
“As organizers and guides of climbing and trekking expeditions to some of the most remote places on the planet, Thuraya is an indispensable tool for us to- communicate with the office, logistics coordination, safety and emergency use and to stay in touch with family. There really is no other substitute that works as well as Thuraya. The handsets are small and handy to carry them easily to places of our travel.
We have used Thuraya in Nepal, China, Tanzania, Morocco, Kenya, Seychelles, Thailand, Europe, Russia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Deep within the mountains of the Himalaya, Pamirs, Tien Shan, Atlas, Caucuses… there simply is no other better way to stay in touch than Thuraya. Keep up the good work!
I have personally been to the summit of Mt. Everest twice, and both times have taken Thuraya to the top of the world. I can definitely attest to the Thuraya Hughes handsets working in some of the most extreme conditions imaginable. On expeditions like Mt. Everest, it is not only great to stay in touch, but important for us to communicate where we are, how the expedition is progressing and any issues that might require additional support. So far, we have not had to use Thuraya for any serious emergencies, but it is nice to know that it is in our pack, that it works very reliably and we can count on connecting with it anytime”.
