Thuraya at Africa Telecom ’98

Thuraya made a strong showing at the Africa Telecom 98 Exhibition and Conference in South Africa, held May 4 to 9.
Thuraya’s stand attracted many visitors at Africa Telecom ’98, which was held in Johannesburg this year. The event, organized by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), focussed on Africa’s demand for telecommunications as well as some of its challenges and opportunities.
A variety of telecommunication services to serve Africa’s domestic and commercial needs were unveiled at the exhibition.
Representing Thuraya at the event were Chairman Mr. Mohammed Hassan Omran, Chief Executive Mr. Yousuf Al Sayed Executive Manager Business Development Mr. Jamal Al Jarwan, and other senior managers.
