Thuraya subscribers, across the coverage area, can receive latest political, business, financial, breaking news and sports alerts from AlJazeera Channel on their Thuraya phone.
Subscribe to the service to receive SMS updates from AlJazeera via Thuraya satellite. SMS alerts can also be received while roaming in GSM networks.
How to Subscribe?
To subscribe to any of the following services, send SMS with the required service code as message to the number 1650 ( SAT mode ).
Eg: To subscribe to ‘Business and Financial News’ in English:
(your Thuraya phone in SAT mode)
- Select MENU-Message-Write message
- Enter the service code BFNE
- Send to 1650

Charges
Thuraya’s prepaid and postpaid subscribers can avail any of the above services at USD 5.00 per month per service.
How to Cancel Subscription
To cancel subscription to a service, send SMS with the required service code as message to the number 1651 (SAT mode).
For more information on subscription customers should dial 100 (SAT mode)
NB: Normal SMS charge applies for SMS to 1650 and 1651.
