Thuraya Sponsors Cairo Telecomp 99 Conference

Thuraya took part at Cairo Telecomp 99, a regional telecommunications conference held in the Egyptian capital, as a leading sponsor of the event.
Cairo Telecom 99 was held January 26 to 29, under the patronage of His Excellency Prime Minister of Egypt, Dr Kamal Al Genzouri, and inaugurated by His Excellency Egyptian Minister of Transport and Communications Mr Sulaiman Al Metwali.
Thuraya’s sponsorship of this regional telecom event reflects the company’s campaign to promote its pioneering services in the field of mobile satellite communications.
Attended by more than 300 regional and international telecommunications companies, Cairo Telecomp 99 unveiled the latest developments in the field of communications technology, broadcasting and satellite communications.
Thuraya’s Executive Manager Business, Mr Jamal Al Jarwan said that CairoTelecomp has succeeded in distinguishing itself as one of the largest and most prominent telecommunications events in the Middle East and North Africa.
He attributed the success of Cairo Telecomp to Egypt’s leading role in the region and to its status as a vital market for telecommunications.
