ThurayaRepeater

ThurayaRepeater for multiple channels has been designed to provide Thuraya network coverage in dead spots such as inside buildings, underground parking lots, shopping malls, tunnels, outdoor shadow zones, where no direct line of sight from the mobile terminal to the Thuraya satellite is available.

How does it work?

The satellite signal from Thuraya satellite received by an outdoor antenna is forwarded to the indoor repeater unit.

The signal is amplified by low noise band selective amplifier stage and delivered to an indoor antenna attached to the indoor repeater unit, which then transmits these signals to be picked up by the Thuraya mobile terminals.

Outgoing signals from Thuraya mobile terminals are picked up by indoor repeater antenna and amplified by up-link stage and transmitted towards the satellite through the outdoor antenna.
