When combined with Thuraya IP, TCP Accelerator is an ideal solution for streaming audio and video, wherever you are within Thuraya’s satellite footprint spanning more than 140 countries across Asia, Africa, Australia, the Middle East and Europe. You will achieve optimal performance of your TCP Accelerator with Thuraya IP firmware version 1.0.6.5 or greater.

This enhanced broadband performance for data transfer is achieved through a proxy connection. Optimizing TCP performance across both terrestrial internet and satellite data links, Thuraya’s TCP Accelerator uses data compression and TCP acceleration, along with HTTP, FTP and POP3 enhancements, to boost data transfer rates.
