Direct Dial Up Internet Access
With Direct Dial Up access to the Internet via our dual mode handsets, Thuraya customers can browse the Internet anytime and anywhere within the coverage area, without paying an additional subscription fee.

Direct Dial Up is available for Thuraya Prepay and Postpay customers, as well as GSM subscribers roaming onto the Thuraya network.

The service does not require 'logging-on', nor does it ask for a user name and password; however, Thuraya Postpay subscribers will need prior activation of data services.

You can place Internet calls by connecting your handset to a PC or laptop using a Thuraya data cable. All standard Internet services such as web browsing and email services are possible using this facility.

Features such as multi-link PPP are also possible using multiple Thuraya handsets, which significantly boost data performance.

You will need...

•  PC or laptop.
• Thuraya data cable (to connect the laptop directly to your handset) or serial cable (to be used with our Fixed Docking Unit- FDU).

How to access the Internet...

• Dial the short code number 1722 through your laptop or PC.
• Define a normal dial up connection in your laptops and configure it to dial 1722.

Thuraya Call Me Back
Thuraya Call Me Back enables you to stay connected, even if you have no remaining Thuraya airtime credit. Using this service, you can send SMS messages to other handsets using Short Code 1755, requesting a call back.

This is particularly useful for Thuraya Prepay customers in remote and rural areas, or where you have difficulty purchasing scratch cards from Thuraya Service Providers.

Thuraya Recharge
Buy airtime online using your credit card and recharge your Thuraya prepaid SIM instantly. Using Thuraya Recharge, airtime is added directly to your Thuraya handset. Visit www.FoneRecharge.com to buy airtime now.

You can also buy airtime instantly by making a free call from your Thuraya handset. To use the service, simply dial the Thuraya toll-free number provided upon registering with FoneRecharge and follow the voice prompts to select your recharge amount. Your credit card will be automatically charged and the airtime added directly to your prepaid SIM card.

Detailed expense tracking and reporting is also provided, and you can manage multiple phones easily, including individual recharge limits. Live email and phone support is available for all customers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Thuraya Missed Call & Voice Mail Services
Thuraya Missed Call Notification (Thuraya MCN) and Thuraya Voice Mail Service (Thuraya VMS) are free services for all Thuraya Prepay and Postpay customers.

These services ensure you don’t miss a call, even if your Thuraya handset is switched off, you are outside the Thuraya coverage area or on another call.

Thuraya MCN automatically sends an SMS advising of a missed call and lists the time of the call and the telephone number. Thuraya VMS allows the caller to leave a voice mail.

Subscription to both services is simple and free. You can register in either satellite or GSM modes, using the call divert functions located in the menu of your Thuraya handset. This procedure will automatically subscribe you to both Thuraya MCN and Thuraya VMS.

SMS to Email
Thuraya enables you to send SMS messages anytime via email, without needing a PC, modem connection or internet subscription.

This is a simple process requiring no special activation, you can send these via a Thuraya handset while outdoors, travelling in a vehicle or using a Thuraya Indoor Enabler. See your handset’s User Manual for instructions on how to do this.

Instant News Updates On Your Thuraya Handset
Receive the latest breaking news in politics, business, finance and sports from renowned news agencies CNN and Al Jazeera.
SMS alerts will be sent to your handset throughout Thuraya’s coverage area, even while roaming on GSM networks.Up to eight news categories are available to both Thuraya Prepay and Thuraya Postpay customers.
