UAE’s most recognized child inventor, Adeeb Al Balushi, brings a fresh dose of inspiration to Thuraya
DUBAI, UAE, March 8, 2014 – Young Emirati inventor, Adeeb Suleiman Al Balushi, visited Thuraya Telecommunications Company’s Primary Gateway office in Sharjah where he was introduced to the company’s pioneering mobile satellite products and solutions. He also met with the Dubai-based Mobile Satellite Services (MSS) operator’s staff and engineers responsible for flying and monitoring the company’s satellites that provide connectivity across two-thirds of the world.
Al Balushi toured Thuraya’s technical operations center and learned about the functioning of the ground station which is responsible for monitoring and operating the Thuraya 2 and 3 satellites. He gained insight into Thuraya’s legacy in pioneering satellite products such as the SatSleeve adaptor which turns the iPhone or Android smartphone into a satellite phone and the IP+ broadband terminal that provides data connectivity in remote locations. Al Balushi reaffirmed his commitment in his pursuit of gaining scientific knowledge and technical expertise to help drive progress in the UAE during his presentation at the event. He expressed his enthusiasm to Thuraya’s staff about the company’s purpose of saving and improving lives though satellite technology.

Eleven-year-old Emirati inventor, Adeeb Al Balushi is on a mission to save and improve people’s lives through innovation.
