You will receive an SMS on your GSM mobile number (in order to register your Thuraya Talk account, you must have GSM coverage) which contains an activation code. Enter this code into the app and in a few seconds, you’ll receive an exclusive Thuraya phone number. Next, add credit to your account and it’s ready for use!
5. What phone number will I get with Thuraya Talk?
When you register for Thuraya Talk, you get your own personal number to make outgoing calls as well as receive incoming calls. This number may look different to you because it is a Thuraya satellite number, starting with +88216. Most people in the world will be able to reach you on this number. Please be aware, however, that calling this number from a landline or mobile may result in very high calling costs. We recommend that you use the Thuraya Talk app to make calls to Thuraya numbers.
6. How do I recharge my account?
You can recharge your Thuraya Talk app account with an in-app purchase using the payment method set up through your Apple or Google account.

10. I received an SMS saying my account is in the Grace Period. What should I do?
If you haven’t recharged your account in the last 365 days, you enter the Grace Period which lasts for 90 days. During this time, any existing credit will be frozen. While you cannot make outgoing calls or send messages during this time, you can still receive incoming calls and SMS, and make calls to Thuraya Customer Care. To get out of the Grace Period, top-up your account within 90 days and your total credit (previously frozen credit as well as newly added credit) will be valid again for 365 days.
11. My account has been deactivated and I’ve lost my credit. What should I do?
If you haven’t recharged your account within the 90-day grace period mentioned above, it will be deactivated and void any frozen credit. You may register for a new Thuraya Talk account using the same GSM mobile number again. You’ll then be given a new Thuraya Talk phone number and can start using this account with your first credit recharge.

16. While registering, why did I receive a pop-up forcing me to uninstall and reinstall the app to continue?
If you received this notification, it may mean that an incorrect activation code has been entered too many times. In this situation, reinstallation acts as a security measure.
